I was born in 1951 and grew up in rural northern NYS on a miniature farm. Raised as a Quaker and sitting in silence during Quaker Meetings allowed me to wonder at and commune with nature and nature's miracles. I began to realize at an early age that all things, both organic and inorganic, are uniquely interconnected. In my life time I have seen nuclear power plant meltdowns and explosions, huge oil spills, a Great Lake on fire from pollution, disappearance of animal species, and the disastrous effects of climate change.

As an RN I became aware of how food effects our health. Eating GMO food became a daily part of our food consumption. There is a correlated connection between eating GMO food and a drastic increase in weird severe autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune diseases run the gamut of diseases, whether gastrointestinal, neurological, or muscular.

I also grew up watching and loving sci-fi movies. So, in the vein of “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”. “Mars Attack”, “Gremlins”, “Tremors”, and more recently, “Stranger Things”, and a deep concern for our beautiful planet I wrote “The Day the Corn Hatched” based on my novel “Experimental Field 312.”
